In the 70th anniversary year of the first car being built with a Ferrari badge, it’s appropriate that thirteen outstanding examples will form the centrepiece of the RM Sotheby’s auction at Monterey in California on August 18-19.

All of them are currently part of the single-owner Ferrari Performance Collection, and most are being sold without reserve. Even if they achieve no more than their lowest estimates, the total sale price will be in excess of $16 million, or around £12 million.
